What is Crossroads?
Crossroads promotes, offers, supports and delivers high quality services for Carers and people with care needs.
We offer help and support to:
All our carefully chosen Carer Support Workers learn most from the individual families with whom they work in addition to their excellent basic training. In this way, the Carer Support Worker follows the normal routine of the Carer, helping Carers to feel relaxed during their free time.
We offer regular breaks of 2 to 4 hours and occasional night care to Caring families, supplying a Carer Support Worker who will give personal care to their relative or friend, including washing, toiletting, feeding and preparing a simple meal, or spending time with someone who cannot be left alone.
We have full insurance for public and employer's liability under the National Association's block insurance scheme. A framework of policies and procedures supports good practice.
The scheme is administered by a Manager who will respond to a referral from any source by arranging a visit to families and an assessment of needs with the aim of supplying practical help at a time requested. Anyone can make a referral.
We are a charity and make no charge for the service. Using us does not affect pensions or benefits or reduce care packages already arranged. our staff are paid for their work and are supported by a Voluntary Management Committee.
